Who and what is affected
People - Humans that live near forests rely on its resources to survive and many have fallen ill or died from their forests destruction. The natives who's ancestors have been living in the Amazon for thousands of years, have an increased knowledge of the rain-forests' secrets which could provide us with plenty of medical help from herbal remedies. Even the children who were raised within rain-forests like the Amazon haven't grown up knowing the social language outside their home, so when loggers come in and kick out the native people by either threatening, injuring or in extreme cases killing them for defending their land, they are left out in large urbanized areas with hardly any skills to be able to work or communicate with people to live in modern society. http://wwf.panda.org/what_we_do/where_we_work/amazon/about_the_amazon/people_amazon/, WWF, 6/9/16

Animals - 80% of all known species, including plants, insects and animals live in tropical rain forests. Have you thought about how many animals have lost their habitats or lives due to deforestation? Almost 137 species are facing extinction each day. If deforestation isn’t stopped, 10% of the world’s species will die out in the next 25 years along with 28,000 species.

Earth - The effects of deforestation on global warming will affect the lives of plants, humans and animals within Earth. Deforestation on a global level causes 15% of all greenhouse gas emissions. Trees naturally absorb Carbon Dioxide within the atmosphere and then produce oxygen for living organisms to use, however when they are burnt or cut down they release the carbon they've contained, resulting in 1.5 billion tonnes of carbon released each year. The levels of CO2 increase the temperature, this is because certain types of gases prevent heat from escaping the earth's atmosphere, therefore they are trapped and start to heat up the planet which results in drastic whether change and the melting of icebergs in the ocean. The amount of ice that is already melting, has caused sea levels to rise, bringing quite a few small Islands underneath the surface of the water, It also affects the habitats of both animals and humans by damaging water supplies or food resources that they had access to.
Environment - Trees help to sustain the cleanliness of rivers and the safety of the ground. As trees are cut down or burnt, erosion starts to occur. Rain falls down from the clouds and would normally be caught by the trees and used to nourish their leaves, however as the trees disappear, the rain falls onto the soil turning it quickly to mud. The rain rolls down the hill carrying large amounts of dirt with it into the river nearby. After a while this river starts to become filthier and filthier and the towns who used this river as a water supply now can't as the water is too contaminated to drink. Even the food supply is damaged as the soil that had been washed away was fertile, therefore agricultural produce isn't able to grow and all land, river and soil have been affected.
